Overhead Dumbbell Warm Up Exercise

First exercise, we’re going to start with a Dumbbell Overhead Warm-Up. This is just going to get the shoulders nice and warm, it’s going to get the legs nice and warm, it’s going to start to get the core nice and activated, as well. You’re going to do 20 repetitions.

This is how we do it: We take our dumbbells; from here, you’re going to put the dumbbells overhead and lock the arms, making sure the core is nice and tight. Down to a lunge position, then we’re going to bring the other leg down in that lunge position, and then we’re going to stand back up again. We go down and stand back up again. Try and make sure that you bring your legs through this way and you don’t come around this way. Just come straight forwards and stand up. Keep looking forwards during the whole of the exercise.

There we go. That is the Overhead Warm-Up. You’re going to do 20 repetitions in total.
