Audio taken from the Kettlebell Snatch Video
Moving onto the snatch exercise, the kettle-bell snatch. The kettle bell snatch, again, is another progression on from the swing, or the high pull. At the top of the movement here, we’re going to actually push the hand through. We’re going to swing, pull, and push the hand through, at the top. They need to be really quick with the hand, because you want to beat the kettle bell as it comes over. Let me give you a quick demonstration.
Pick the bell up, nudge off the hips, get the swing started, and then we pull, and push. From here, we throw the kettle bell out and forwards. Pull and push. Keep that wrist nice and straight at the top. Make sure the kettle bell finishes with the arm nice and straight over the top, and not in front of the body, here.
That is the kettle bell snatch. A tricky little exercise, can take a bit confidence to get used to it. Start with a really light kettle bell to start with. You’re going to perform 25 on each side. Enjoy.
