Cheers Troy, I like the idea of the HIIT Parade. I tend to save HIIT training until the end of the session providing clients can still function correctly with the movements in hand. Alternatively I split HIIT and strength training to different days of the week. You are right some bodyweight intervals can have a great effect and without the use of any equipment too!

Great article Greg. I use many of these methods in my own training and with clients. I run a weekly Bootcamp and often programme in a section I call The HIIT Parade. I find that with stronger, more conditioned clients Barbell and Kettlebell Complexes really raise the ceiling. Although, with that said, you can’t beat a good set of burpees for a class A beasting, I’m yet to find a client who doesn’t shrink at the mere mention of them.

Hi Greg, is it best just to do the interval training and nothing else or is kettlebell training on the other days ok?
