Here are some of the most common questions we get asked here at GB Personal Training. If you don’t find the answer here then please contact us, we’re always happy to help!

Q: How Quickly will I See Results?

A: We offer various types of training here at GB. If you are looking to Lose Fat then you can expect to see and feel results within days providing you follow our complete fat loss program of nutrition and exercise. If you are interested in toning your body or increasing muscle mass then you will start to see results following the first 30 days. Most adaptations within the first 30 days are mostly neurological depending on your training background.

Should you suffer from any joint or back issues then changes can happen almost overnight as we work on improving your mobility and bringing healing nutrients into your starving joints.

Q: What will I be Doing?

A: The choice of exercises will depend on you, your goals and what our assessments reveal. Everyone’s programme is different but you can expect to be doing a number of Joint Mobility Drills, Bodyweight Exercises, Some Resistance Band Work, Maybe some boxing, Maybe some Kettlebells, Maybe some Medicine Ball Work, Maybe Some Stability Ball Work. One thing you will NOT be doing is Running! There are much safer and more effect ways of getting results than running!

Q: How often should we exercise together?

A: Depending on your goals we may meet Two, Three or Five Times per week. Please see our Training Packages to determine which one is right for you. We don’t believe in training only Once per week, unfortunately we have had little success working this way even if you would like to training on your own a few days a week.

Q: Can We Exercise at my Home?

A: Yes, and in fact this is what we prefer to do. Nothing is more convenient than having your Trainer arrive at your home bringing with them everything you need. Your trainer will be able to deliver just as good, if not better, results training you from home than training you at a gym.

Q: If I Train at Home What Space will I Need?

A: People are always shocked when I show then just how hard they can work in a space about 6 feet square. Basically, if you can swing your arms around then you have enough space. We have trained clients in Kitchens, Study’s, Dining Rooms, Gardens, Personal Offices and on Roof Top Terraces. Please do not think you will not have enough space.

Q: What Equipment Will I Need?

A: Simple answer, none! We will bring with us everything you need. All you need to provide is some comfortable workout clothing.

Q:  I have Bad Knees or a Bad Back, can I still Exercise?

A: Yes, providing we know the full details of your condition. We have rehabilitated many bad backs following surgery and corrected many knee issues following excessive running programmes. We cannot always help everyone but the chances are with correct movement patterns and some rehabilitation we can help you where others may have failed.

Q:  How Long will I need Personal Training

A: Depending on your goals it can be anything from 4 weeks to 3 months, or maybe longer. Here at GB Personal Training we believe in empowering out clients with education. We don’t want to have to train you forever. We will teach you how to move, how to eat correctly, how often to exercise and all the secrets of how to be in the best shape of your life. Your trainer will be able to tell you how long your full programme will take.

Q: I Workout on my Own but I’m not seeing any results, Why is that?

A: You will be surprised at how different professional good quality Personal Training is from what you read in magazines and watch on TV. We will address your fundamental movement patterns, address your nutrition, and determine all the correct exercise variables based upon you and the assessments we take. Exercise is like receiving the correct prescription, it needs to be dosed correctly and suitable for you and no one else.

Q: I Don’t Want Big Muscles just Weight Loss, can you help?

A: Yes, this is our speciality. We can guarantee you will lose “7lbs in 30 days” or your money back. Big muscles are dependant on a number of different things, one is Testosterone (ladies you don’t have much of this) and two on correct exercise prescription. If you want big muscles then you have to train for big muscles. Ladies we won’t train you like that!

Q: What happens if I can’t make a Personal Training Session?

A: We will run through all the correct protocol for cancelling sessions with you before you start. If you can’t make a session then providing you give us 24 hours notice then it’s no problem. We understand that life gets in the way sometimes and are always flexible enough to deal with it.

Q: Can I have a Refund?

A: If for any reason you are not happy with your trainer or the service we provide then we can offer you a full refund. Don’t worry we not out to take all your money we will take all the risk!

Q: Are you qualified?

A: Yes everybody here at GB Personal Training is qualified to the highest standard. Plus, trainers also go through regular training with Greg Brookes in order to maintain an exceptional level of excellence. All techniques used are cutting edge and far exceed those of the standard personal trainer.

Q: Can we meet up for a chat?

A: Yes sure and in fact we encourage this. Please contact us to arrange for a meet up and to talk about Personal Training in a lot more detail. You can even have a trial personal training session if would like to see how we work.

Q: How and When do I Pay?

A: You can pay in whatever way you like, Cash, Cheque, Credit Card, Paypal or Bank Transfer. Sessions are paid for up front to show a level of commitment for both parties.

Q: How do I Get Started?

A: The process is simple. Just contact us first and we will arrange for a free consultation at a place of your choosing. During this consultation you can ask as many questions as you like and your trainer will run through everything you need to know. Following your consultation you will arrange a date for your first session where you will receive a selection of assessments to determine exactly what type of programme is right for you.
