Training with kettlebells or swinging this hunk of metal around causes huge changes in the body. The workouts are quick but intense so are suitable for busy mom’s or career driven professionals. It’s amazing how quickly changes happen to the body because women aren’t used to this type of stimulus.
What Results do Women Achieve with Kettlebells?
Women tend to avoid resistance training with the fear that they are going to put on muscle or “bulk up”. This is definitely not the case with kettlebells. Kettlebell training is a type of strength-endurance training so the muscles never get the correct stimulus to grow larger. Instead they tone and harden up. Simultaneously the cardiovascular system is also improved. Imagine running the 100 metres without even moving your feet. Now you get some idea of what a kettlebell swing can feel like.
We train more women than men!
For some reason women seem to enjoy kettlebell training more than many other types of exercise. Most of our kettlebell classes are dominated by women and it does become addictive. Many ladies have been attending our classes for over 2 years. What starts off as a challenging workout for many soon turns into a longing for a heavier and more demanding kettlebell.
