Obesity and Exercise
It is estimated that a 1/3 of all adults will be obese by 2010. We are here to make sure you are NOT one of these statistics.
What causes Obesity?
There is no single cause for obesity, but evidence suggests that there are a number of contributing factors. These factors fall into 2 distinct categories: Dietary habits and Physical Inactivity.
Dietary Habits: a radical restriction in calories can initiate a starvation response in the body increasing the ability to store fat. Toxins through the wrong foods are safely stored in fat to avoid damage to vital organs. Carbohydrates in the wrong quantity can be addictive and challenge our blood sugar levels (often causing diabetes) further increasing body fat.
Physical Inactivity: increasing physical activity will raise your fat burning potential and if done correctly will sky rocket your metabolism so you will be burning calories even at rest. It is important to note that not all exercise is the same, some works well and some does not.
